Geostationary Satellites

What happens if you take a time-lapse "star trail" image of the heavens pointed at the celestial equator? You may see some objects that do not move with the rest of the skies. These are man-made satellites in geosynchronous orbit. (Via today's Earth Science Picture of the Day.)
