John Hope Franklin died yesterday at age 94. I heard on NPR that he had been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom from President Bill Clinton. They said it was the highest civilian award you can receive.
You know, like, every mother deserves this award. But especially the great ones like Clod here. And Pooka of course.
