Big ball in New Zealand. The worlds biggest in fact, and has held the record since 2005.
Well maybe not the biggest ball, but the biggest tape ball according to Guinness.
Quote:
Two young Kiwis have put New Zealand on the world map by gaining a Guinness World Record for the world's largest tape ball.
The record tape ball weighs a staggering 53kgs (116.6 lbs) and has a circumference of more than 2.5 metres (8.2 feet).
Alexis Fletcher and Ben Naylor, both Massey University students, have spent the last two months trying to beat the record
previously held by an American whose tape ball weighed only 45.65kg (100.4 lbs) - about seven kilograms lighter than the New Zealand tape ball.

See, right there is why America is in trouble.
These College kids from New Zealand spent two months of their spare time building this World record, accolade and kudo garnering tape ball, adding prestige, and the envy of all nations, to New Zealand's honors.
And what the hell have the American students been doing with their spare time? Studying for exams, writing papers, doing lab experiments, flashing their naughty bits in sandy places? Who knows, but I do know they have diminishing the standing of the USA in the eyes of the World, by letting this record slip through their fingers.
