Well, I should say as a big disclaimer that I met the woman that led to the "24-hour engagement" thread on okcupid.
It was kind of new to me, but she once explained to me that there's some set of rules where you go out on a "pre-date", something like meeting for coffee and probably only lasts a half-hour or so, and you inform anyone that you've ever met that you'll be there at that time and have some set of code words to call your friends and let them know you're still safe and....
huh. maybe this all belongs back in that other thread.
Good luck, Sarge. All I can say at this point is that there's no reason to believe they're a better crowd than meeting someone in a bar.
