First. Don't ever depend on system restore to save your ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Around the 1st of month, my XP box shutdown twice. Error was system 32/config missing. Try XP CD to repair.No go. No boot to safe mode. Knoppix only showed me 2 partitions.

So I hooked up to another box, usb, and saw all. Go some things off and tried again. Same thing. No repair or safe boot.

So. I used true image, an old back-up, but it worked.

Lost a bunch of junk. And got a bunch back.

So a word to wise use A BACK-UP. I once did this each Sunday am., while drinking coffee and reading the funnies.

The word I'll thinking about is becoming complacent??
