Mum's cancerous cells were detected because of a routine mammogram. She got the best possible prognosis you can, because it was deteected early. She still has to deal with an operation and weeks not doing what she wants (and she's lucky because Dad & I are there and happy to help) AND a scoop outta her boob - which is damn nasty.

Mammograms, smear tests, anything like that - GO DO IT. No Govt or insurance comapny recommends it for fun. Take 30 mins out of your time to look after yourself. Oh, and give blood too. My own personal hobby horse, but I might as well get it in here Some stranger might some day save the life of someone you love - get your karma in beforehand.
