Not wanting to be a whinging Scot here but being British has Fech all to do with Engerlaund failing in the world cup,christ you won in 1966 by default by being host nation and playing every game at wembley.
The only team in the tournament to play at the same ground throughout.
40 odd years you lot have gone on about it, England have played in the world cup 12 times so deduct 2 times as getting in for free as host nation and winners you've only qualified for the tournament 10 times once more than Scotland,In the words of the Bard "Gies's peace"
