You think that is bad? What about Schapelle Corby?
Quote:
On 8 October 2004, Corby was apprehended by Indonesian Customs agents at Ngurah Rai Airport on her arrival in Bali from Australia. Corby was found to have 4.2 kg (9.3 lb; 0.66 st) of cannabis in her unlocked boogie board bag.

Corby stated that she had no knowledge of the drugs. Her defence centered on the theory that she had become an unwitting drug courier for what was supposed to have been an interstate shipment of drugs between Brisbane and Sydney in Australia.

I am inclined to believe her, simply on the grounds that there
is interstate drug smuggling in Australia, and those drugs were worth more inside Australia than outside; as a business proposition, it just doesn't make sense. But I have to admit, the "someone must have put it there" defence seldom works.
