Sure, accidental is non-hostile. Lots of hunters do it to themselves. Don't know if it's considered non-hostile if they do it to each other??
My buddy took his kid deer hunting and got out in the boonies before daylight. He wanted to check his gun before they started hiking so he open the door of the truck to check it by cab light. He shot through the floor board, transmission and transfer case. His insurance paid $2400 for repairs ONLY after they verified the truck was still under warranty.
