The Tiger has a real thing about smell.
He will often check with me that an item from his sports kit is his (they tend to get mixed up when the children are changing, and he's not 100% with the capital letters his nametags use). Once he's confident he will inhale deeply.
Also, he has to smell his grandfather's car before they leave that house. He forgot to once, and his parents had to drive him back there because he was so distressed.
