I hang out in chat most nights but rarely get any visitors.

I'm beginning to feel territorial there and actually feel a pang of resentment when someone comes in and doesn't knock, even though I know the software doesn't have a "doorbell" upon entry, which in my opinion is more useful than a tone every time someone enters a line of text. A lively chat session can get quite noisy!
