I'll save you the trouble. There are conflicting studies. Listerine has done studies that show its mouthwash kills LOTS of germs growing in a petri dish. Other independently funded scientists did a study on Listerine use in the human mouth and found that it killed no more germs than simply rinsing with water did.
Since Listerine is meant as a mouth wash, and it (and all other tested mouthwashes) are no better than water in the mouth, tw has concluded that it's worthless. And Listerine can still advertise that it kills germs because they use the words "in vitro" instead of "in vivo."
But I like it because it's tingly.
