			A clever lawyer and not-so-clever cops has lead to confessions, including videotaped ones being thrown out. 
 Even if he IS convicted, and gets the death penalty, he won't die for 14 - 20 years because of the appeals process anyway.
 
 It sometimes seems that prisoners on death row have a better chance of dying by natural causes or murder by other inmates than at the hands of the state.
