I like how you anticipated the FTFY version of your post, and nipped it in the bud.

I hate FTFY. Why can't it mean "fuck this, fuck you?"

It's a fine piece of literary shenanigans that warrants a FTFY. As it is, the device is overdone and underwhelming.

(For example, a typical FTFY to my last sentence would be something like "It's overdone and undersexed. FTFY." Ha! Ha ha! Ha! Ha.)
