In debating things, a common method is to postulate an extreme position and see if the same conclusion is drawn. That is what I have done here. The words "what if" followed by "would that change your opinion" tell you it is a postulation asking for a conclusion. Can you see that LL?
If I really wanted to use deceit, and "win" the "debate", I would say "Sam is actually a 35-year-old male stockbroker from Toronto." Can you see that LL?
So now my question remains: if I used the second form and lied, would you find that acceptable?
