Best years? ... very tough to say. Good memories from riding hunters and jumpers in my teens, living at the stables in minimal housing and riding six horses/day while doing the stable work ... off and on feeling confident during senior year in my biochem degree ... but med school threw me off. I didn't feel confident in medicine until I'd had kids, had life kick me in the face a few times, and could see patients with some life experience. Forget the early 30s through the start of the 50s ... now I'd say, even with (or because of) my diagnosis and all that came with it, I'm grateful for each day. Every day is the best.
