"Horseshoe Bend is a meander of the Colorado River located about four miles southwest of Page in Arizona. Horseshoe Bend of the Colorado River is one of the most precious jewels of the geological wonderland of the United States. This horseshoe-shaped meander is located five miles downstream from the Glen Canyon Dam and Lake Powell within Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and 7 miles north of mile zero of the Grand Canyon.
