			Yup, bacon has always been grilled in this house and it's never looked as flabby as some of the sad things I've been offered. 
 
I'm not saying it looks like the American versions of bacon, but I am saying that Mum will not order bacon in or on anything in this country unless she's seen and approved of it on someone else's plate.  And I worked with a girl who used to buy a bacon roll, remove the bacon and dissect it, then put it back in the roll again.  Which I found funny at the time (I called it her jigsaw breakfast) but she would not eat the undercooked rind and fat. 
 
Sorry, not doing anything to dispel the myth that Brits serve lousy food.
