There I was, scooting down the road on my way home, minding my own bidness, when, what's that? There, in the road. Is that? Is that a snake? It was a little cool, just after dark, and there, ran over in the road, was about four feet of what looked like the skinniest copperhead snake I've ever seen. First snake I've seen this year, I think.

Like I said, it was dark, and I didn't want to inspect a copperhead up close and personal, dead or not, so, I whipped out my old digital camera for a couple of snaps, so I could inspect it later, from the comfort and safety of my computer.

Well, might as well stop putting it off...here's my "snake":

That, friends and neighbors is about four feet of nylon tie-down strap.
