My father brought me home The Light Fantastic because he knew I liked fantasy and he liked the cover art.
I took it to France with me, where I read it obsessively, along with the very different Pawn of Prophecy.
So years before their diagnosis of dementia, Dad and Terry Pratchett were linked in my mind.
