Most likely place will be on Arran. I left him alive a couple of times when I visited, thought about him, talked about him (to the Limeys, and a check-up call to Mum) and loved the Limeys' cats on his behalf. And I'm happy on Arran, even though he was never there.
He doesn't belong in my parents' garden - I still feel the wrench of not living with them too much.
