The problem with social media is that its putting the magnifier on emotional topics that often have little real value in daily life. All the while important topics like large cooperations avoiding to pay tax (which we all have pay in their place) aren't getting much attention. On the other hand, I'm guessing we humans were always that way, the internet just has made our behavior more transparent.
