I lost a 17-year-old kitty a few years ago. I still think about her every day. One of the kitties she left behind mourns for her all the time - wandering around the house crying/looking for her. (She has another playmate, but he doesn't seem to miss the old lady the way Zoey does.)
Now that the remaining two are getting on in years, I worry that they'll be gone soon, too. Had a scare last month when my crazy boy kitty (Spike) suddenly started losing weight. Turns out he has asthma
and allergies. Which cost me about $500 all told.
