Actually, they belong to a cult (
Old Apostolic Lutheran Church) that has infested the area. One of their beliefs is that women should have as many children as their bodies will tolerate.
Read a few pages of the link above to find out how weird/awful they are. The forced childbearing is just a very small part of it; wait till you get to the discussion of how/why they tolerate child molestation within their membership.
