First morning practice of the last polo season for polo-girl today. I was amused that across the quiet of the house at 5am, I could hear the "dink dink dink" of her cutting her fingernails -mandatory in polo-. It inspired me to butcher the Song of Songs....
Rise up, my love, my aquatic one,
And come away, for behold, the winter is past,
The snow is over and gone.
Potholes appear in the roads,
The time of polo has come,
And the sound of the nail clippers
