Went out to dinner with a good friend, fancy place that opens at 5pm with a line down the block because they won't take reservations. 45 minute wait for a table, and both bars backed up three deep. $9 for a glass of Cabernet, $6 for Beam and ginger, $10 for a burger to $25 for a steak. Her son is a chef there and the owner comped our meal and drinks for four. I did take care of the waitress and Jazz Trio though. Splendid night.
