SonofV and I attended the Democratic Caucus for our precinct last Saturday. It was an overflow crowd, just our six blocks exceeded the expected 40 turnout by over 50%, 61 people showed up. Our four delegates went three for Sanders and one for Clinton. Now those four delegates have to show up to the local Democratic Precinct Caucus for the district and county. It's an elected position. SonofV ran for Delegate, came in fourth out of three; ran for Alternate and made it.
He even gave a little speech about why he should be selected as delegate/alternate. He talked about how he believes in Sander's ideas about free college and racial justice. His engagement and enthusiasm make me very, very proud and encouraged.
