I have felt guilty ever since. Seriously, it was over ten years ago now and I still feel rotten. The extra money was exciting and welcome at the time (I probably spent it on pizza and beer!), but my perception of myself as an immoral person was tested by the experience. Turns out I might not be able to murder someone just for getting in my way after all.
