I read on
Boing Boing about a kind of neat idea. Taking digital pictures through the viewfinder of an old camera. I happened to have an
old Kodak Duaflex camera that I bought at a yard sale about 30 years ago and have kept locked up in a trunk full of old "treasures." So I tried it out yesterday. It's harder than I expected. You need to be able to focus on the viewfinder from a certain distance and my Panasonic DMC-FZ7 can't do that. So I dug out my old Nikon Coolpix 950 with it's awesome macro capabilities and was able to get a decent shot.
It's fun, but I wouldn't say you make prize winning quality images. Just fun retro looking ones.
