7 to 8 hours for me, though for last night, it turned out to be about 9 hours. The amount of light coming into my room can affect my sleep patterns as well as having little covering over my body (this one affects me more than the light - with more covering I sleep better). And there are times where my mind wants to stay in bed, but my body has had enough - that's what happened this morning. If I go to bed late (11 p.m. or later), I generally don't get as much sleep no matter what I try to do.
