Monster, you're lucky that you've got kitchen knives that cut almost everything and survived. Personally, I wouldn't do that to my knives. My mom uses the kitchen and whatever knives lying around to cut
whatever duty she has at hand. She ruined a number of knives, including my Kershaw.
