Paul Allen was co-founder of Microsoft along with Bill Gates, so you know he had a couple bucks.
He spent on a lot of good causes but I think he had more fun than Gates. For the last 9 or 10 years he's been
bankrolling Stratolaunch. Allen died last October with less than $22 Billion, but it was from Non-Hodgkin's
Lymphoma. So according to all the TV lawyer ads that means his widow can collect bigtime.
Stratolaunch first flew this spring.
Lots of parts from two 747s. I don't know if this is still a viable idea now they are able to land and reuse rockets.
Was it worth what Allen spent? He didn't care, he was enjoying his money.
