Gotcha .. I think the 'cum lauda' is equivalent to our 'class' - so a 'First Class' is the 'Summa Cum Lauda', Second Class is the 'Magna Cum Lauda' and Third Class is the 'Cum Lauda'. .
I think anyway. We classify slightly different over here. I did an honours degree, but it's just assumed a bachelors would be an honours degree unless something or other happened in the second year (can't recall the details) to fuck it up. So, non honours was a fall back, rather than honours being specifically chosen.
Given her GPA, I'm thinking she'd be in the top percentile of a first class honours degree.
