George Jr was planning his Saddam disposal strategy probably long before he took office AND definitely before 11 September. How does that jibe with George Jr's isolationist policies? Or did George Jr simply misrepresent himself to get elected?

George Jr also promised a government of tolerance only to pack his administration with right wing hawks. Tolerance is to put a moderate Christi Whitman in the EPA, then tell her what her decisions will be - facts be damned. Collin Powell calls Whitman the administration's 'wind dummy'. She demonstrates which way the right wing extremist are blowing. That is called tolerance?

George Jr also criticized Clinton for nation building. And yet nation building is exactly what is ongoing in Afghanistan and what is currently being planned for American occupation forces in Iraq. Another reversal by George Jr?

Then there was George Jr's Cincinnati speech where he was going to prove that Saddam is a direct threat to the US - that is until Sen Graham (FL) pulled out all the facts just before the speech could be delivered. Another post elsewhere described it best:
Quote:
On October 9, almost a week after [CIA Director] Tenet received his whipping at the hands of Graham, the senator's hardman approach paid off when the director of the CIA admitted that the only reason Saddam would use WMDs against the United
States was if he was backed into a corner -- due to a strike by the American military -- and realised he was about to fall. Saddam, Tenet was saying, would only become the nightmare that Bush envisaged, if Bush attacked him first.
Saddam is only a threat to the US in the dreams of George Jr. Facts say otherwise - even from George Jr's own intelligence services. So is George Jr misrepresenting facts again when he says Iraq is a threat to the US? Apparently even the CIA agrees that Iraq is only a threat if the US unilaterally attacks. So that George Jr is not caught lying again, will he therefore order an attack on Iraq?

One need go back to the days of Nixon and Cambodia to see so many misrepresentations of the truth by the executive branch. Even worse, some Americans actually believe that Saddam is a threat to the US - again - facts be damned.
