The Monkey's Tale

My brother took himself on a creative journey recently - though the focus of that creativity was something else, an offshoot was a sudden discovery of his poetic muse. In a few days he wrote a number of poems, verse experiments and haiku

I like all of them, but there are a few that I really liked, and asked if it would be ok to post here This is one of them.

The Monkey’s Tale

Monkey cry monkey call
Monkey try monkey fall

Monkey take monkey’s hand
Monkey help monkey stand

Monkey see monkey do
Monkey know monkey true

Monkey climb monkey tree
Monkey swing monkey free

Monkey hide monkey spy
Monkey leap monkey fly

Monkey play monkey rest
Monkey beat monkey chest

Monkey hunt monkey thrill
Monkey chase monkey kill

Monkey yearn monkey know
Monkey learn monkey grow

Monkey feel monkey rue
Monkey love monkey two

Monkey good monkey bad
Monkey happy monkey sad

Monkey laugh monkey cry
Monkey live monkey die.
