British newspaper

I found this June of 1940 Daily Mirror newspaper.
It has Churchill's Never Surrender speech, how even if the island get overrun, the old girl has a lot of children out there who with the help of the British Navy will come rescue Mom.
It talks about the escapes from Dunkirk and Calais, plus an air raid on Paris.

But it also had things I hadn't thought about. I knew the kids have been moved out of London, many to Canada, but it talks about moving livestock away from the coast.
The Minister of Food pleading with manufacturers/suppliers to hold the line of prices, and have pity on soldiers wives/kids.
The first person charged under a new law with being a "Rumour-Monger", for spreading some bullshit heard on a German radio broadcast.

Things that aren't headlines but paint a picture of the times.
