Aunt Lola was actually two generations removed and I have always regretted not getting some of those questions answered before she died.
I am not sure why the returned internees seemed to be most active in landscaping and nursery work, except maybe residual resentment and fear made that the only thing available.
I would be interested to learn of other post-war endeavors that were open to them and if the whole phenomenon was mostly a west coast one.
