Own your own Dalek. Sundae - are you there?

'Fans of Doctor Who will get the chance to own an original Dalek from the classic series when a range of costumes and props go up for auction later this month'.

'A dinner suit worn by David Tennant during his stint as the Time Lord is expected to fetch around £3,000'.

Daily Telegraph. Other newspapers are available.

Daleks were mean! I don't want one--it would give me nightmares about being, ya know.

(whispers): assimilated!

Exterminated.

I very sensibly ignored the small voice at the back of my head saying 'Go....go to the auction...' and made the decision that I am not going to be there and do not want to own my own Dalek. My house is too small.

Anyway, they'd have a hell of a job getting up the stairs.
Imagine trying to send one to bed early because he'd spent too much time with his mates plotting cosmic domination.
And never ask one to tidy his room. Therein lies disaster.

Can't understand how I completely missed the longest running science fiction show in the world.

Ok, here is a Q: I once saw what looked to be a clever British show about a guy who traveled back and forth between present day and WWII and was always bringing counterfeit notes back to WWII England from present day England. I think he had a wife in each time. What was that show?

'Goodnight Sweetheart'.

I've never watched it but it would seem to be the one you mention. I see that it started in 1993. That's what worries me. I recall when it started and, if pressed, would have said it had been going no more than five years. Even more worrying is that I saw the first episode of Dr Who! HELP! Where has it all gone? Unlike Dr Who and the main character in Goodnight Sweetheart, I don't have the luxury of being able to travel back in time.
