Inventor seeking funding is likely to produce hyperbole. How much is the question. I can see a half mile vs 22 miles, and hand aimed at a stationary target vs tracking a moving target, would cut the size/weight considerably.
But time will tell. Mandating non-lead shot cut water pollution, and this would do even more, but that raises the question will a dog bring back a cooked bird?
