I don't do much netflixxing, but the lad says they are slow to pick up tv shows... i figured it was something to do with syndication. have they been more prompt with other HBO series?

I've very nearly finished reading the last book. The TV show is epic in scale and how it does everything... can't wait for April 1st!

I don't know, since we don't get HBO I usually don't have any awareness of when a show is originally broadcasting. But generally speaking, once the DVD is released to the public, it is soon available for rental as well. The major licensing issues are usually over whether Netflix is allowed to stream the data, or can only mail out physical copies (which forces them to buy more copies themselves, if they want to send it to enough people to keep them happy customers.) Currently they're not saying whether they'll stream it or not, but we'll get the discs if we have to.
