Would it work, right ...
to use cellar posts to create a duplicate site, cellar II. And then allow spambots free access to that site, where they could post but their posts wouldn't show up here, in the real cellar. And then sell advertising space on the duplicate site, and use the huge number of spambots to claim millions of hits per day, and thus get enough to run the real cellar as well.

No, since new users have to post in order to get accepted I thought it was important that they be able to post any way they like. The rules for registration are already too complicated.
Not sure what to do now. We may have to upgrade (shiver) |

Over 50 spam accounts have been created in the last 24 hours. We are under attack.
I have been collecting the IP addresses and slowly banning spamming countries. We simply can't accept users from China or Latvia or Pakistan or Russia any longer. |
