Lyric trivia...of sorts.

I caught this running on another board, it seemed something interesting. The idea is one throws out a lyric and others have to guess song/artist, then post their own. This oft degenerates into just random posting of lyrics, but hey, I'm bored. Humor me.

Alright, here goes.

"Every morning, rise out of bed
Echoing the words that your parents once said
Plan ahead, but you've got other plans instead
If all you think about's the future, you're already dead"

~mike

My magic crystal ball tells me that it is darwin's waiting room - live for the moment.

Take a crack at this, and NO USING GOOGLE! thats cheating

And now my bitter hands cradle broken glass of what was everything.
All the pictures have all been washed in black. Tattooed everything.
All the love gone bad turned my world to black.

Easy...Pearl Jam's "Black".

I'll post lyrics for a new song momentarily.

And now...lyrics:

"Now don't you worry.
I won't put you down.
I'm in no hurry babe...
to see you go to the ground.
Because it's true what they say.
You know, it's true what they say.
You're only king for a day.
I guess you're happy that way."

Well now, that's only half-right.

Quote:

"High times, hard times

Helmet--"Turned Out"

New lyric: "If you ever need anything, please don't hesitate to ask someone else first."

Nirvana - Territorial Pissings

Now I've got one for your love: "What if I was not your only friend in this world? Would you take me where you're going if you're never coming back."

Joy Divison - "Novelty" And Syc's was "Very Ape" by Nirvana, if I'm not mistaken.

New one now...

"But you're one in a million
You've got that shotgun shine.
Born under a bad sign,
With a blue moon in your eyes."

I really have no idea about that last one, but I've got a question that's been bothering the entire staff at work ever since I brought it up; In the song Mrs. Robinson by Simon and/or Garfunkel, what is the line that follows "Sitting on a sofa on a sunday afternoon". If you can get that one sin google, you're my hero.

kottonmouth kings - misunderstood

cause i remember when we used to sit
in the government yard in trenchtown
oba, ob-serving the hypocrites
as they would mingle with the good people we meet
good friends we have had, oh good friends we've lost along the way
in this bright future you can't forget your past
so dry your tears i say....
