As she has always been responsible for the stars and whatnot, Lil Pete painted Groot on cardboard for our topper this year.

Ha, yes. I have a growing collection of mushroom ornaments. I lost my favorite one last year. It was ridiculously fragile and took a tumble from which it did not survive. My sister gave it to me when I turned 25.

First year in a long while that we didn't decorate at all! We knew we were going to be gone in mid December for a week in California and then up to Seattle for 5 days over Christmas so we just blew it off. Kind of nice not to have to deal with putting it all away.

Oh, I did decorate the Land Rover with garland and Christmas lights. I use a power inverter to light them up!

That should scare the squirrels out of the tree.

Classic tree 2016. FTR - This tree went up and was decorated with my daughter and Dan. The next day I got a panicked text from him stating "Tree Down" Sooooooooooooooooooooo pissed. Lost a bunch of irreplaceable ornaments - some decades old. Got the damn thing back up and then realized the top 1/2 of lights were dead. Moar pissed. Went bulb to bulb and got them back on. Dan redid the decorating.
You all may notice a few dwellar SS items in the pic. The Santa ornaments were from Jim there are several items from limey and also BigV. Thank you all again. My SS gifts are under the tree as well as the gift & card from Sundae.

My guess is faulty installation, but I have a cat so I'm blaming him.

And there is a very cool mushroom night light in the other corner of this room
