The "recommended from the web" section at the bottom of articles makes a really pathetic attempt to grab your attention.

If you've ever opened a clickbait link, you know this is what you'll get:

Wow, when he arrives at the ultimate chum page, at the bottom of countless, increasingly-bad choices. I guess they figure, if you're still clicking, may as well lower the standards all the way. Reminds me of this video on The Onion, "Domino's Scientists Test Limits Of What Humans Will Eat" --where at the end, they plan to just dump raw garbage on a pizza--and people will eat it!

Regarding the screenshot of clickbait I posted here, what stood out to me is how much the content is just copy/pasted information from Wikipedia, etc. --like "a list of things" or "a picture of a thing" ... SO LOW-EFFORT. Sad!
