Unfortunately, that was part of the problem. These same two girls were running loose near the gate. Our flight was delayed, so I didn't want to stray too far from the gate area. There was basically no way for me to get away from them.

It was actually entertaining watching how the mother "disciplined" these kids. They were about 7 and 9 years old, so they were old enough to reason with. They completely ingored everything she said to them--they knew they could get away with whatever they wanted. The worst parenting skills I've ever seen. Just wait till these kids are teenagers and watch 'em wreak havoc then--it's not gonna be pretty.
