tbh, I've long been a fan of the Edinburgh tattoo..... ah, the skirl of the pipes.....

here's one of them, the rainbow 'thingy' (i say that because i have no idea what it means, IF it even means anything-the tat peeps said it didn't...by the way, i don't completely trust tat peeps when it comes to things like that):

So why did you get that particular tattoo then? Did you just walk in and choose that design or did you think about it for a while?

i'd looked at it a few times on their display boards, asked what it meant, was told 'nothing' and still thought it looked cool. only after did i question it.

I was given some good advice when I was thinking about getting my first tattoo. I was told to take the design and put it on my bathroom mirror (or somewhere else it'd be seen every day multiple times) and if at the end of a month I didn't want to change it in any way, then maybe in another month I'd be ready to get it on my skin. It has proven to be very sage advice for me.
