perhaps socialism is putting the knife in far enough to cut out the tumor?

Warfarin is used in small doses to save the lives of heart disease, stroke and cancer patients by helping prevent clots. But it's rat poison and kills people too in larger doses.

Just one example of too much of a good thing.....

Ahh, but you both do. You both agree that he finds violence an acceptable solution.

"too much of a good thing....."

From where I stand 'socialism' is never a good thing.

"...he finds violence an acceptable solution."

Depends on the context and players, but -- yeah -- probably more than any one here, I do find violence acceptable as a means of resolving problems.

typin' while standin'

Always.

You never know when you might have to fight or flee.

I won't be caught with my pants down...unless my pants actually are down, in which case I'll just piss on the scum I'd normally fight or flee from.

Unless i'm sittin' on the crapper...in that case I'll throw shit at 'em.

Unless I'm huggin' the crapper meaning I'll crank out my best Linda Blair imitation.

That's a really good way of putting it.

From The Economist of 25 Aug 2017:
Quote:
TWO days after he ceased to be President Donald Trump’s chief strategist, Steve Bannon explained why he had welcomed The Economist to his house on Capitol Hill for a chat. “You’re the enemy,” he said, adding disdainfully: “You support a radical idea, free trade. I mean it, that’s a radical idea.”
Quote:
Among the particular opponents he has in his sights, said Mr Bannon ... are congressional Republicans (“Mitch McConnell, I’m going to light him up”), China (“Let’s go screw up One Belt One Road”) and “the elites in Silicon Valley and Wall Street—they’re a bunch of globalists who have forgotten their fellow Americans.”
