I've seen Hispanic babies just old enough for their first trip outside into the world with ear piercings. I don't get it.

I've also seen it on twins, easier for telling them apart than marking the bottom of one foot with a Sharpie.

Sunbeam is a brand of appliances and cookware. I think that's the indentation in a baked product made by the tiny logo on the bottom of the baking surface.
