Good show.

I've been watching Iron Fist. Still good, but not quite as impressive so far as the rest of Netflix's Marvel shows.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was pretty funny.

New season of Archer has been good too. I like the longer plot arcs.

Big Little Lies

The season finale is tonight on HBO. It's not pleasant to watch. The writing is as good as I have ever seen on television. Excruciatingly real, the tension is breathtaking. I don't like it but Twil and I are *transfixed*.

If you watch it and you don't like it, I'll give you your money back.

finished up Letterkenny. The inch says Trial and Error is good. "Like Parks and Rec, but in a courtroom."

Any notes on that?

Frasier, from the beginning, on Netflix.

Trial and error is pretty fucking funny. The casting is perfect, they've got great comic instincts. Shot in a documentary style, around the murder of the wife of a kooky poet played by John Lithgow. Steven Boyer is hilarious as the dim-witted assistant investigator, a former cop who was filmed on dash cam shooting his patrol car full of holes as it rolls away from him during a traffic stop because he forgot to put on the brake.

The editing of the trailer destroys the perfect comic timing that is one of the great things about the show. The trailer makes it seem hyper.

Louis C.K. 2017. This was brilliant, Carlin level society dissection.

On my list. I'm happy to hear it's good, Louis C.K. is kinda hit and miss for me, but, I like of a lot of his stuff.

Just started Big Little Lies. I was reluctant, even though everyone said it was so good... but it really is SO good.

Halfway through it. Fair description.

Finally started "Luke Cage". One episode in, I'm not sure I'm gonna like it. Does it get better? I have the feeling it was just a slow build up, but, I just don't know. I kinda like how the first episode ended.

Luke, having just stopped a bullet in his hand and stomped a couple of thugs, saying, to the fourth (?) thug: "You want some?"

4th thug, who, along with Luke, and the other thugs, is a black gentleman (and I'm just quoting): "Man, I don't even like these niggas.", and leaves.

Hasan Minhaj's new standup special is fan-fucking-tastic. Highly, highly, highly recommend.

Dear White People is pretty good, a little stereotypical but at least they cover all the stereotypes.

Silicon Valley is still ballin'.

Westworld is okay, beautiful but we've seen every plot twist coming a mile away.

The Expanse is okay, less aesthetic than Westworld but with better political and character intrigue.

Animals is surprisingly engaging. Has the look of a raunchy adult cartoon and yet is weirdly heartfelt.

Neil Patrick Harris' A Series of Unfortunate Events is awesome. One of the few shows my kids like that I also like.

Oh, and Mr. Clod had me sit through one episode of Riverdale with him. That show is dead to me.

Danger 5. Season one was the perfect send up of 60s era spy shows. Season 2, I like a bit less. It takes place in the 80s and is also a perfect re-creation of the 80s shows like Miami Vice. I think part of the reason I dislike it it is that it is the 80s to a T. Too much coke, sexual violence and objectification of women at an all time high, heavy keyboard synth, and an atrocious color palette. In other words, they nailed the 80s.

I'm up to season 2 of Archer. It's hilarious. I now have a thing for black chicks, I never did before.
