the finale of America's Ballroom Challenge is playing on pbs right now in my time zone. It's the real stuff-what DWTS aspires to be, and it's considerably cooler than I remember it during dancing school in 6th grade!

The difference, of course, it that Ballroom Challenge involves two actual dancers, rather than one dancer and one has-been who is coasting on little more than name recognition.
